    Summary:

    The candidate will work onsite at customer location with a small team to support the National Center for Education Statistics. The candidate should have strong editorial skills and enjoy writing and editing content in the field of education. The candidate must assist with requirements gathering and provide training and support to the customer. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong communication skills. The candidate must be solutions oriented, enjoy working with new technology, be a self-motivated learner, and pay meticulous attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    • Create unique content for internal and external web sites (content must be communicative to the general public).
    • Edit and maintain content for web based publication following industry-standard formats.
    • Support release activities in support of large-scale government publications
    • Create and edit newsletters and technical materials for publication.
    • Coordinate review of web and technical content with Government and corporate customers.
    • Provide quick turnaround on ad-hoc documentation requests.
    • Support internal user testing and usability assessments.
    • Provide varying levels of support to customer and team.
    • Assist in business analysis and proposal work.
    • Create help and training materials for online systems; conduct one-on-one and group training for the Government and corporate customers.

    Qualifications

    Education:         

    • Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Excellent communication / interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to function as a member of a team while also capable of operation alone with little to no supervision or constant guidance.
    Clearance Requirements:             
    • Must have ability to obtain a public trust clearance
